  • If my OPT got rejected what are the options

    Hello all,Below is my case

I have applied my OPT on Jan 8th 2013. I got first RFE on July 24th 2013 for additional documents. I have responded for the RFE with required document on August 12th 2013. I got another RFE on September 13th 2013 as "Response to intent to Deny", I have October 13th 2013 to reply.

RFE i got about that i register 3 credits in last semester and DSO not update that in SEVIS. 4 of my friends got same RFE, My school provided a document that says it's a mistake did by admin not by the student and They Responded with help of attorney but their OPT has rejected.

I want to know what if my OPT got rejected, Till how many days my OPT will be active. USCIS has given 60 days for my friends to be in USA. There SEVIS will be active these 60 days. Can they/me join the college for second masters without crossing border.

What exactly happens to our SEVIS if OPT get denied.

3 credit hours should not be of an online course

In this case you can transfer to a different school and start you education.... If OPT is for long term then you can file for it but this things take time and talk to you DSO what all option do you have in this situation....
