Client project while OPT STEM extension still pending

Hi all,

I would greatly appreciate if anyone has any insight on this topic. I have applied for an OPT extension through an e-verified employer but am not working on a client project currently. I recently applied for OPT extension but my previous OPT has expired. I might have to wait for another 6-7 weeks before I get my new EAD. Will I still be able to start client projects if I get any without having EAD card?

Which ofc did u apply to? If it is nebraska ofc, i wud suggest u to have a plan B as ur initial OPT expired. Or else u ll be out if status. Personal experience
