Your J1 waiver will be approved. Its not an issue but it is just that it takes too much time as the process is too cumbersome so, please start the process at-least 8-10 months before your graduation.

    J-1 Visa Waiver?? A problem.

    Hi there,
I have an issue with J-1 visa .I came to US on 2010 and was on an exchange program supported by the US Department of State. After completing the 1 year exchange term,I went back to India and applied for F-1 visa 6 months after staying there. For completing rest of my undergraduate degree here in US cuz I decided to get a degree here. I am getting done with my degree this spring. If I apply for J-1 waiver, what are the chances that my waiver application will be approved since the program I attended was a US government sponsored J-1 visa?I want to go for OPT as soon as I graduate. Any advice on how can I fix my issue?
