H4 Validity after Divorce

Hi,

My current status is H4 and I-94 is valid until February 2016, based on H4. But I got divorced now.

I have applied for change of status to f1.

Am I legal to live until february 2016 in this country if my F1 is denied?

Please advise.

after divorce you are no longer a dependent of the h1 candidate you have to leave the country based on the response of the change of status on f1
