Income Tax question. Working on-campus.Social Security and Medicare Tax Deducted from Paycheck. Asked HR not to deduct Social Security. Will this affect my H1B petetion later?

Dear Team,I have a question. This isn't about OPT. But it is related to income taxes. Since past two months, I have been working in an on-campus job. When I received my pay cheque, I saw there was Social security tax and Medicare tax deductions. When I asked my HR about the same, they mentioned that these tax deductions wll add up on to your pension. I asked them to not deduct these taxes since I am an International student here and I would not be reaping the benefits of the same. And she agreed to it. My question to you is will this (Non deduction of Social security tax)affect my H1B visa processing later? Thank you!

No it won't! You aren't subject to fica on the grounds of being an international student! This won't affect H1B as far as I guess!

you are not liable to pay social security & medicare tax.you can request your HR to stop deductind it and return last 2 months amount , if they dont agree than you can always file it along with your returns at the end of the year.
