Despite USCIS's announcement last week that anticipated H1B usage may trigger a lottery, Immigration Daily stands by our observation that a lottery will likely not be triggered. We believe that usage numbers for this season are headed higher than the previous season, but are still not large enough to trigger a lottery.
Regardless of whether our information turns out to be on the mark or not, we encourage USCIS to release daily counts of applications received beginning Monday next week to assist those employers who want to get their petitions in on time to do so.
