Employer change whil H1B in pending?

Hi

I'm on OPT and applied H1B with Employer A, waiting for the result. Now I got the full-time opportunity from another employer. Can I change employer now and once the H1b is picked and if it is approved, can I transfer it to the new employer? What will be my options?

You can change the employer after H1B appproval.
If you try to change the employer now and your current employer withdraws the petition before the approval you might be in tricky situation.

It is not advisable. OPT is like a girlfriend and H1B is like a marriage. You have to stay with H1B sponsor until USCIS processes the application. Moreover, looks like you are working for a consultancy which does not prefer to transfer H1B in a year.

You are not considered Cap Exempt until your H-1B is actually approved.
