Hi all,
I am currently working under OPT with company A through client vendor channel (no OPT ext). My contract with company A is about to end in 15 days and I also wanted to look for another job so I applied in a not for profit company and got selected. My current employer (consultancy) pays very less salary and also charged for attorney and premium fee from me. Now that I have got this not for profit opportunity, earlier this company said they will sponsor me since they wanted to directly hire me but now they are saying it is better if I continue my sponsorship with my current employer(consultancy) so it would be faster to go through the documentation process. I am confused whether I should introduce my current employer with this not for profit company and hence keep my h1b filing with them and continue getting peanuts or will I be able to get another sponsor for my h1b at this time. Even if I change my employer, will this affect my h1b filing? This time any sponsor could directly deal with the company for my pay roll and get great margin on it since my case is very clear with this new company. I am so confused since I don't want to loose this opportunity but at the same time want to get better pay and h1b. Any help/suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
