My H1B didn't get selected. When should I join school to maintain status.

Hi DesiOPT you guys are awesome.

Contacting you regarding CPT application.I already have an OPT valid till December 10th 2013.unfortunately my H1 is not picked for this year. I am applying for H1 in April again. When can I apply for School so that I will be in valid status?My F1 visa expires on Dec 10th and classes in New School starts in January.

-Should I apply for September semster or January semster.
-Can I transfer my F1 to that School after current F1 expires.

What can I do at this stage.Thanks in advance.

Need to know is there any H1B Visa cap for F1 students?What happens when we complete OPT? is it easy to find companies/ or genuine consultants for H1 sponsorship? I know this is too early to ask these question, but...

and I heard H1Bhas was a lottery system in 2013, so what happens if our name doesn't come in Lottery?
