Recently, I have come across a lot of cases where people are being deported, especially from O hare in Chicago in spite of having all the documents. What are the port of entries to avoid for a h-1b visa holder? Also what should one do at the port of entry and does the officer have the right to check phone and laptop? Is that not invasion of privacy? In case I am unwilling to unlock my phone , can he force you to unlock it?

If you have all the required docs, info and not doing anything wrong, it shouldn't matter what POE it is..
However the screening process is said to be tougher in Chicago. This is just from the vine talk.. The moderate POE(s) that I have heard are Boston, NY and Atlanta.. Someone also said Seattle is the easiest, however if you have your university or job in East and enter from west, that's a suspicious thing for a cbp.
Your phone and other personal belongings are subject to search anytime. Border is a strange place because your rights and any constitutional amends are not valid.. You cant use any right of yours as the border is not technically considered as inside United States, though geographically it is.Comment
