Working with A emp and H1b picked with B emp and work in Cap - Gap

Hello All,

Right now I am working with company A and very recently my OPT has expired and in May 2016 my H1b application by company B has picked in lottery. As my OPT has expired I have fallen in Cap-Gap. So my question is can I able to work for my previous company (A) while I am in cap gap because of new company (B) ?

You are on f1 till oct 1st... You can work for emp A till then and after approval you have to move to emp B...
You can also change you h1 after oct 1st... Thats not recommended before start date.... Good luck...

Yes, you can. There is no requirement that your OPT employer has to match the H-1B employer in order to take advantage of Cap Gap.
