H1B Picked but Typo in the Receipt Sent.

Hi,
My H1B got Picked in the Lottery for FY 2017 (AD/RP/CA). There was a Typo in my name on the Receipt. My first name is missing a Letter. How to I get USCIS to rectify the Mistake?

Contact the law firm/attorney who is representing your petition. Ask them to get it rectified and corrected.

How much time does it take to get it rectified,once the employer/lawyer has contacted USCIS?

No idea about that. The best thing will be to initiate asap so that the petition approval comes with the correct name.

Also as far as I am aware the I797C or whatever forms USCIS sends after the lottery selection, calls out to check all details and if something is wrong, contact them immediately. Just like OPT/STEM.
