My company might lay me off and I am in process of searching for new jobs. I have a doubt:

My last paycheck could be mid may, so do I need to get my H1B transferred before that date ?
If I get a job in June and my H1B transfer happens then , will the petition get approved or rejected ?
Will I be out of status if I stay beyond mid may and I am not on any payroll ?
