H1b 2017 AD/RP checks cashed?

[2017waiting]

My employer told me today that the checks for my application were not encashed yet ( Apr 20)

Does that mean I'm not selected or is there still hope (AD/RP)
Last year my friends started receiving RP receipts starting Apr 21. Is it too early to expect receipts or already too late?

This anticipation is scary!!!

Every year is different and cannot be compared. Did they do the random selection process the same day like in 2015 or did they start processing the premium too on the same date. It is still to ealry to comment especially for the regular processing.
