My company submitted my H1B application on the 1st of April 2016 and they laid me off on the 4th April 2016. Can you please let me know what will happen to my H1B application that is sent to USCIS?

It depends on your company. If your petition is selected in the lottery, the company can either withdraw it or let it get adjudicated (which some companies do as a favor to the beneficiary so they don’t lose their chance at the H-1B Cap).

If you already submitted client letter and other related documents, you should be fine . If it's approved transfer before oct, expect an rfe here .

It's for contract employee , who works for different client .

Usually the company's immigration team is supposed to withdraw applications in these kind of cases . Posts on Murthy 's forum might give you an insight.

If they laid you off they will withdraw the LCA which is a quick 5 min process online. Without LCA the application will be invalid.
