  • H1b not picked. Is canada an option?

    Hi,

I applied for h1b this year but it didn't get picked. I would like to know is Canada a good option to move? If yes, should i apply for Canada work permit or file for immigration directly? What are the chances of getting Canadian work permit from US and how long does it take?

If anyone can provide information of consultants who do the visa processing for Canada, that would be very helpful.

    Thank you.

        1) yes canada is a good option, you can do either ways but Correct me if I am wrong, For both of them you need a job in canada first.
        2) PR Takes around 6-8 months. Work permit takes around 2 months depending on the location you apply from.

Canada Express entry does not require you to have offer letter. I recently got mine under the last system without having a job offer but under new system as well you do no need offer letter but it would certainly help to get Invitation to apply.

I am a U.S. Immigration attorney and can put you in touch with a Canadian immigration attorney who can explore immigration options for you. Happy to help. Feel free to message me. Good luck!

One more question to add to this thread. If you have the masters degree from US you still need the WES evaluation done and need to give ielts ?

Job helps, but is not mandatory. You apply, you get some points and then it is waiting game to see when your points come under the cut off points. You need to submit a couple of docs, out of which language test (IELTS) and WES evaluation would be ones you need to obtain in order to fill out some preliminary information.

Yes, Canada needs Language Test and evaluation of your degrees obtained outside Canada.

So do we have to complete the whole profile and submit within 60 days?
