H1B rejected
I have a masters in business and my employer informed me that my H1B did not get selected this year. Currently I am in opt and its expiring in January 31, 2016. Can I get cap extension and can my employer apply for H1B for year 2016? What are the other options I have if I want to continue with my job after January 31, 2016?

As your masters is in business which is not a stem major , so you are not eligible for stem extension.Comment

you can contact your DSO whether your course program comes under STEM. I know some universities consider MIS under STEM. Though yours is not MIS, just give it a try.Comment

You have not said if you are eligible for STEM OPT extension. That is usually the best option. Your employer can file again, but you will not be eligible for H-1B Cap Gap extension because your grace period will expire before April 1, 2016.Originally posted by afa15 View PostComment
