No SEVIS update although employer confirms H1 receipt number

My employer says that my H1 is picked up (it was a premium case) and has shared the receipt number for which I got an RFE. When I call my university they don't see any change in my SEVIS number. Is it possible that SEVIS doesn't update if you have got H1 receipt?

It is possible that SEVIS does not get updated . Mine was not updated until I booked appointment for stamping. sometimes SEVIS gets updated after your H1 start date ( if you are not using CAP Gap and using your OPT until 1st October.)

Mine was same case share your receipt number with your college DSO. They will get it fixed. It takes a week for full process

It takes time for SEVIS to be updated and may not even be updated until the H-1B is approved. If you need to extend your I-20, just take a copy of the receipt notice to the DSO and they will extend your I-20.
