Do I need to submit H1b Amendment for my title change

Hi everyone, this is my first post.
I have a question about H1b amendment.

Next month, my company will submit my H1b application; also I got another opportunity to move to another department(same location) in the same company.
The job responsible is same, only changed from software engineer to senior software engineer, also the salary will change.
We know the CAP H1B lottery will be running in the next month. That means, my H1B probably will not be approved when I make the change.

In this situation, do I need to submit H1b Amendment?
If I submit, is there any risk that the H1B will be revoked by USCIS?

If your new job has all the duties of the old job and more and the pay is higher than the old job matching to Labor wages for next level and its only addition of Senior to job title, you are good. If you are skeptical your employer can file for ammendment once you receive your approval.
