Can i file for H1b while i am still studying my Master's program.

Hi guys,

I am planning to file for H1b . I am still studying my master;s program. I know i won;t be eligible for master's quota but am i eligible for regular quota? Also what happens if my H1b gets rejected , shall i be in my F1 status again.

Please suggest as i have to give money tomorrow to an employer.

You will be eligible for the regular quota. If your H-1B is not chosen in the lottery or the Change of Status is denied, you should still remain in F-1 status. Suggest you make sure to file for OPT just in case.

yes. After rejection of H1B you can continue on OPT and try next year.

if ur h1 appln is not picked in lottery, u will continue to take classes as usual. yes u can apply under regular quota.
