  • H1 filling - client letter

i m a masters student in OPT. I m working as a contractor through an employer A In a company (ex cognizant, wipro etc) and end client company Y ( U.S. company) . I m working at the end client location . The end client does not give client letters to any employee. It's been just 4 weeks and even I don't have a ID card as my BG verification is in process and the time sheets are not yet allocated for my project at end client . Where as I fill up timesheets of my implementation partner( ex wipro) and I even get paid . Is it possible for me to file for h1b without a rfe query in future. I m bit confused can you let me know the supporting documents for this situation.

    Thanks,
    Keerthi

That’s impossible to predict. Is it possible to file an H-1B and obtain approval in your scenario without an end-client letter? Yes, most definitely. However, even in the best cases USCIS can send an RFE (USCIS is not always reasonable or logical).

I think a letter from Implementation Partner is good for H1 application... Even I am in same situation my employer told me a letter from Implementation partner is good enough.... As per my research I heard end clients will not give any Client letters.... They just avoid such kind of responsibilities...

If the end client doesn't give the client letter, then try to take a letter from the end client which states that they don't give such letters for immigration purpose. This letter along with the vendor and implementation partner letter, PO's are sufficient for the filing...
