Second Masters, working fulltime on CPT, is it okay to file multiple H1?

Hello Everyone,

I have Masters in Computer science and applied for H1 last year through a company where I work full-time but did not get picked in the lottery. I enrolled in second masters in Managing IT and continued to work in same company full time on CPT (externship required). This year, my company is filing for H1 again. But I am planning to "double my chances" by going through filing for another H1 though another employer. I am not really sure how it is going to work. The employer said that he is going to apply as 'prospective employee' when I told him that I am not supposed to work for two employers on CPT.

Please suggest me on how to proceed. Should I go with the second application? Your help is much appreciated.

1. There is no restriction on multiple H-1B’s being filed for one person as long as they are filed by different employers and not by the same employer.
2. There is no requirement that you must currently be working for the employer filing the H-1B. Many H-1B petitions are filed for individual who are not even in the U.S.
