Multiple H1B petitions and travel during OPT extension

Hi,
I am a non-STEM student. I am working on a full time position with a company Y. I have filled my H1B petition through them. But now my company is asking me to work for a client (Z). Is it possible that I can file another H1B petition through one of the vendors X? So the scenario is vendor (X) will file my H1B -> my company (Y) -> for the client (Z).
1) Please suggest in the above scenario will my H1B be held up in an audit?
2) Can I travel during the OPT extension time duration to India or any other country?

You need to speak with an attorney. Generally, multiple H-1B petitions can be filed by different petitions for the same beneficiary. However, the same company cannot file more than one petition for the same applicant. In your scenario, USCIS may be suspicious if they realize what you are trying to do, and there might be negative consequences for you or your company.

Yes, there will be two separate H1B petitions by Company Y and X this year. Company Y will file for their internal position. Company X will file in following format: Vendor (X) -> my company (Y) -> for the client (Z).
