The H-1B must be filed with documentation to show that you will have work after October 1. It may work with a client letter that states that it is a project that is continuous with no immediate end but USCIS may request additional evidence to show that this is true or a contract with a definite date. Your employer can also submit 2 separate contracts: one contract to show your current project, and another contract to show a future project that you will take up after the current one ends. -

Request for Info regarding Client Letter
Hi,
I am on OPT Extension and my opt will expire in Septer 2015. My consulting company is going to file H1B this April. My current project is for 6 months from now and it may or may not extend. How do they file H1b based on current project? Should it be fine If clinet letter doesnt have any particular time period and has "On going project" ? Please hlep.
