H1b visa stamping question

Hi

I am currently on CAP GAP and going to India for H1B stamping. I would appreciate if anyone can answer the following questions for me:

1) Do I need to surrender the I94 attached to my I797 at the airport? I still have the white I94 in my passport from early 2012.
2) I have a speeding ticket from last year (just a normal citation) does that affect anything in my interview? There is a question in DS 160 which asks "have you ever been arrested or convicted"; i have never been arrested or fingerprinted, but does the ticket count as a "conviction" or just a violation? Should my answer be "no" or "yes" ? I paid the ticket in full when I got it so I doubt if it affects anything.

1. Yes. Unless you are going to Canada, Mexico or other contiguous territory, you must relinquish the I-94.
2. The answer can be “no”.

Speeding ticket no worries, I had a few and got my H1b stamped. I 94 its an online process now. No worried... Good Luck

The airline personnel at the check in windows at the airport would take your i-94

speeding ticket doesn't matter so dont worry... unless its DUI it doesnt matter i guess

make sure you submit the i-94 to the airline personnel. no one will bother to ask you for it. just makes it easier for them to keep track. on the other hand border personnel update i-94 records on their own for everyone leaving via a commercial airliner
