applying for h1 from India

hello admin.. my wife got f1 visa for her masters.she is leaving to The US next month.I want to apply forH1. I am working as assistant manager at deloitte since 3 yrs and previously worked at wipro for 6 yrs. can i apply directly to any company there in US as deloitte people will not be sending anyone from here to US.will i get letter directly to apply for h1 visa from any company. whats the procedure.kindly let me know.

A U.S. company must offer you a job, and then they must apply for H-1B. The H-1B has an annual quota of only 65,000 so there is a lottery because so many people apply. All applications need to be submitted by April 1, 2015. If someone offers you a job and they file H-1B and your application gets chosen in the lottery, your employment will not begin until October 2015.

It is much easier to find a job while you are in the US rather than applying from India. You may want to consider coming to U.S. with F-2 visa to look for jobs.
