  • How soon Can I travel once my h1B starts to get the stamping?

    Hi,
My H1B got approved and It will start on October 1st and I was planning on travelling to Canada and get the stamping on October 25th. My sponsor says it is too risky because it is too soon, that I should wait for a couple of months at least. Is it really too risky? How long should I wait before getting the stamping?
    Thanks for your help

It’s not too risky if you are actually employed. Who is saying it’s too risky – your employer or their attorney? If it’s the attorney, they are going to listen to the attorney and you may not have any choice but to listen and wait. If not, then speak with the attorney first.

It all depends on our luck n the way we answer to the VO. I dont want to sound rude but we cannot predict when it wud be a good time or a tough one. Good luck.

You can apply 3 months before the start date but you can enter the country only 10 days before the start date
