H1-B Transfer

Hello,

I am working for an X company. They applied my H1-B and it is approved which starts from October 1st, 2014. Right now am on OPT cap gap.

I got a job from a Y company and they are ready to sponsor me H1-B. Can i transfer to Y company before October 1st, 2014?. If so can you help me in telling the process ?

1 yes .. As long as u r X company does not withdraw u r h1 before oct1 . but safe way is do it after oct1

Its highly risky to Transfer before Oct 1st. USCIS sometimes may reject the petition saying that you are not yet on H1 Status to do a H1 Transfer.

You need at least 1 paycheck from your previous employer run during your H1B period. This is a new rule from this year.
