  • On H1B, but got fired.

    Hi Guys,
I am on H1B but I got fired from my full-time job yesterday.
    1. Within how much time I should get a new job?
    2. Now that I am fired, how can I even transfer my H1B?

Very tensed & scared, please help ASAP.

According to new uscis rules this year I don't think that the h1-b is transferable until effective. If you were on h1-b than it is transferrable otherwise your new company has to apply for it

If your H1B is filed this year you can transfer your H1B before Oct 1st to any company if you get other job !! or you can transfer to consultancy ! but make sure to transfer before Oct 1st as the start date is on Oct 1st !! Check with Immigration attorney as well !!

Apply to a desi consultancy ... That's the only way out of this ... Pick a consultancy that will pay while you are on bench.
