  • H1B Approved, but Project Ending in September

    Hi,
Thank you for answering my previous queries. Much Appreciated I request you guys to please suggest me on this issue as well.
I have my H1B approved. My currect project on which H1 was approved is going to end on 15th September. I need to look for another job.
    Please answer me if:
    1. Is it like ok to change projects after H1 approval and before H1 start date as well as before H1 stamping?
    2. What documents do I need to update in the USCIS if I change my project and location?
    3. I am also planning to change my employer to shift to a full time. When is the "less risky" time to do that?

    Thank you,
Please suggest me on the same. Appreciate it Good Luck Everyone !!

      1. Yes
      2. U need to do an amendment
      3. Anytime after H1B approval. Less risky if u do after H1 start date

You said your project ends in Sep, assuming that that are working on Corp to Corp basis under EVC model. If the above scenario is correct then you need not worry about finding a new project and then Amend it accordingly 1) You can you have to file and emend if the same employer or File a new H1b petition that is quota exempted 2) Employer remains same then he will take care of it and if changes it will be treated as a new application 3) You have H1b approved you can change your employer when ever you can but I recommend do it after your H1b start and be ready with all the docs... Good Luck..
