Hello,
My H1-B is approved for a non-profit organization. I was participating in paid research studies in another non profit organization when I was on OPT and I am still continuing. They are paying me both by check and cash. They have a limit after which I have to pay taxes for the research study compensation too.
Can I still participate in those studies now that I am on H1-B (note that both are non-profit organizations)? I have a concern since I will get tax forms from them and they are not my employer who has filed H1-B. I have already got some money when I was on OPT. Will that be a problem too?
Please help!!
Thanks!
