  • I have got RFE, what if I get rejected. STEM extension is still in Initial Review.

    Hi all,
I graduated in May-2013. My H1 was picked up but got RFE. So I applied for STEM extensiohn, and it is still in Initial review.
What are the options for me, if H1 gets denied.
    1. Should I have to go back to India, because I dont have STEM extension OPT also.
    2. Should I have to join some university to be in status.

Mine is full-time job, still got RFE. Hoping that H1 will be picked, but trying to be prepared for worst.
    Any help is much needed.

          1) no , cause your stem is in initial review
          2) if you join other Uni your stem will be canceled automatically

Reply for your RFE and wait fo r the decision and since u have stem extension receipt, u can work till 180 days from the day when your intial opt ended. As of now dont apply for any univ bcz u still have time and in your case sevis transfer terminates the current opt
