  • H1B and H4 Re-entering US

I have H1B Visa stamped till June 2016 from Company A in my passport and entered US. When I was in US, I moved to company B and transferred my H1B to company B and have the H1B valid till Dec 2015(No stamping in passport) but I have valid i797 of my new company though my validity got reduced by 6 months(i.e from June 2016 to Dec 2015). Now I'm planning to go to India by November,2014. My questions are,

    1. What are the documents should I present to the officer at POE while re-entering US?
    2. Do I have to get new stamping in India for company B before entering US?
    3. Do you have some authentic links(provided by USCIS/Customs) for this kind of questions?

You need visa to re enter USA .... In your case you Already have visa stamp for company A so you are good ....there is no need for you to stamp visa for company B... While re entry in USA you will have to show i797 for company B.... Visa stamp is to enter the country and i797 is to prove your work status .... I hope this helps, I have travelled last week and my scenario was similar so no worries !!!!
