I am desperately willing to move to a profit organization, n I do not have a job offer from any non profit organizations yet. I am trying to move to Florida.

Similarly, if any of you do not get selected for the lottery (if there is one), or your H-1 is rejected or denied, find a university, non-profit, or non-profit research organization willing to sponsor you for the H-1 because you do not need to be counted against the cap to work at one of those.

People who receive H-1 status based on employment with non-profits, institutions of higher education, and nonprofit research organizations are NOT counted against the cap. Therefore, if you currently work for a non-profit AND have not worked for a "for-profit" company, you most likely will have to be counted against the cap if you switch to for-profit company. However, if you can stay and work at the non-profit and also have the "for-profit" company sponsor you, there is a way to do this without the need for an H-1 number because there is an exception in the law related to concurrent employment.

    Why can't you file your H1 from a non-profit?

I am currently working on H1B for a non-profit institute. I am hoping to join a profit institute soon. I am afraid that the cap quota will be full before I will apply. Is there any solution to this situation?
