One of my friends is in a very peculiar situation:
He hasn't heard anything on his H1B status till now. It was filed in Premium processing. His OPT STEM expires on may 31 2014. He is planning to take admission in a university which will issue him new I-20 and he can continue working on CPT. He has already filled all his documents.
1. If he takes admission ,gets a new I-20 and starts working on that and suddenly he comes to know that his H1B has been selected ( chances are less), can he still avail cap gap with his new I20 or he cannot, as his new I20 doesn't expire during cap gap period ?
2. If he starts working on CPT and his H1B gets selected, can it be rejected as he is now working on CPT ?
2. Will working on CPT hamper his H1B chances in future ?
