MS-Thesis vs Graduation

Hello Everyone.

Recently my professor has confirmed my Research Assistantship starting Fall 2014. I haven't started any research yet, so officially I will be starting my research in August.I have talked with him about my Graduation and he has advised that it will take a minimum of 1yr to complete my Thesis and defend it. I have few courses left and if I go with Non-Thesis I will be graduating this December (2014). I have two questions:
1) Considering the H1 scenario is it better if I graduate early (by Dec) and apply for next year H1-B lottery by joining a consultancy?
2) Take up my Thesis and graduate by August 2015 or in worst case scenario by Dec 2015?

2. If you are passionate about reseach stuff and planning to do phd in the future then go for thesis otherwise for IT JOB it wont make big differnce for thesis/non thesis.

If your good enough in what you do and do a dedicated job hunt I am quite certain that you will find a good job. Also if you are computer science student you can have more opportunities when compared to engineering fields like manufacturing/mechanical.

Also going to consultancy is not a guaranteed solution for finding a job. Consultancy in my opinion should be the last resort, people are willing to hire right employee.
