H1b is not picked up in lottery

i have question if a student applies for h1 b and his h1b is not picked up in lottery but he has his opt extension till oct 15 th ...how many days after oct 15 th the student will have time to transfer his i20 to join another college?[/LIST]

Your sevis will be active for 60days but just to be sure get ur sevis transferred atleast a week before so that you have enough window to find out if the sevis is active and has been transferred properly.
