  • Can Non-Profit apply for Cap H1B?

    I am currently working for Non-profit university as Full-time Employee. As salary being I choose to join it. But I need to apply for cap-H1-B this April2014 through my univ.

      talked with lawyer with my university. No ,University cannot apply to with cap quota. She told me

        What is your current status? Do you want to change from cap-exempt H-1B to cap-subject H-1B? The university is exempt from going through the cap so it is not subject to the cap or the lottery.

          as far as i know u wont be subject to CAP as it is non-profit/university

            cap-exempted entities can always do cap subjected petitions ..
