Hello
I graduated in May 2012 with MS in Electrical Engineering with specialization in DSP/Communication. After graduating, I couldn't get a job in DSP, so I started working under my Prof. to maintain my status. After this I got a job as a Field Engineer at Qualcomm as a contractor. I am not being offered full time as of now and my consultancy has refused to file my H1-B this year. My OPT expires Nov 2014. So I need to file H1B this year by April. My F1 Visa expires on July 2014 and EAD on Nov 2014. I need certain pointers for following questions:
1. Can I switch and work for consultancy offering jobs in IT sector and get my H1B filed by them ? Any hindrances in H1B stamping in future as I changed my fields ?
2. Can I work till August and then go back on F1 status and work on CPT and get a company to file my H1B next year ?
3. Any consultancies offering to file H1B while working in a Wireless field ?
I would really like some honest answers as I am in a very dire situation right now.
Thanks
Ashu
