Travel before/after H1B filing?

Hi,I am currently on OPT extension. It's valid till Nov 5th 2014. I am applying for H1B this April. I want to go to India in March.


1. Is it ok to travel to India before 1 month of applying to H1b?
2. If not can I travel in June after my H1b is approved on student Visa?
