  • H1B transfer got rejected

    Hi all,
I'm working with an employer for a client in IT field. My client wanted me fulltime and applied for a transfer. But the transfer got rejected saying I'm working in the same filed as my masters. I've a degree in Mechanical engineering. But I did get H1B when I applied with my employer.
Have you guys seen this before. I really want to work this client as the colleagues are really good and so does the place. Is there anything I can do now to get my H1B transferred. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The employer who filed for a transfer obviously did not do proper homework or did not have a good attorney. H1B is really a speciality visa. Mechanical Engineering and IT field are quite different directions. Look at the LCA of your current employer and see what differs vs target employer, you will understand !

Expert Opinion Letter is required for this RFE
You've to approach a Credential Evaluation firm to get a 'Expert Opinion Letter' which is prepared by an Evaluator who has the authority to grant college credits in the related field, he should be a Professor or an Asst. Professor and should provide you with a letter from the Dean of his department where he's teaching, which they usually provide when you order for an 'Expert Opinion Letter', You can get it done from iCredentialEvaluators.com for a fee.
Expert Opinion Letter also addresses the Speciality Occupation as mentioned in the RFE.
