H1b transfer as soon as it is activated.

Hello everyone!

I got my H1B picked in the second lottery and my company has filed the petition on my behalf.

However, I'm in advanced stages of the interview process with another company. Now, if I get the job, when will be the earliest that I can join, if I wait till I'm in H1B status? (that is Oct 1)

I heard that I will have to wait and get two paychecks from my current employer ( on H1B status) to then have my prospective employer to apply for a transfer, is this correct? ( so effectively after November 1 is when they can initiate transfer) I am on STEM OPT right now and will have paychecks from my time on OPT. Will these work?

Any help would be greatly appreciate!
