H1 VISA renewal

HI All;

I had my VISA for 5 years. I have finished MS and started my PhD. My VISA will expire in JUne. How can i renew my VISA ? DO they create problem to renew VISA ? i am going to visit my country on Decembe, and i will come back on January. DO they create any problem because my VISA will expire on JUNE ? what should i do ? please advise me.

You must be on F1 not H1. Since you are doing PhD, it should not be a problem.
