University does not offer medical insurance

Hello
My University does not offer medical insurance to me. They asked me to buy it from outside as they dont have any option for medical insurance.
Can i anyone help me with this? I need to get medical insurance as i am sick need to show to a doctor. Can anyone tell me how to get cheap medical insurance which atleast covers 80%.
