New F1 Visa stamping after losing passport

Hi,

I lost my passport a couple of months ago and now have received my new passport. I plan to go to India to get my F1 visa stamped after I graduate in Dec 2016. The current expiration date of my i20 is Dec 2016. I will have my EAD card and also a letter of employment from my employer before leaving for India. Will there be an issue to get the F1 visa stamped since I am going for it after I graduate.

U wont have any problem. I ve 2 frens who went fr stamping n came back on their opt period with new passports. Make sure u take all ur docs including the FIR u filed.

Thanks for replying. Well I thought of that option too. I stay in Michigan and going to Canada and getting it stamped is quite hassle free for me in terms of logistics but many people I consulted expressed that's the US embassy does not entertain this any longer.
