I was employed during OPT which expired on Jun-24-2016 (so my EAD card expired on the same day). I have applied for OPT STEM Extension and the application is pending. My employer laid me off last week (when the STEM Extension application is pending). I am considering visiting India in the last week of August for my sister's wedding. I am pretty sure the STEM Extension application will still be pending when I try to re-enter the US. So I will try to re-enter without a valid EAD card and without a job offer. Will I be allowed to re-enter under this situation?
