Travel to Canada with day 1 CPT

Hi everyone,
I am traveling to travel to Canada for a conference from May 22-2 through my company.I am currently taking day 1 CPT from College A. My F-1 visa stamp expires in August(and that is from College B). Do I need to get a visitor visa?
Is it safe to travel without issues? I am also applying for H-1B this April. How will that impact my application?
