Working on campus

Hello,
I am a student in an F1 visa. I have started working in the library of my campus about 10 hours per week. I want to work in the cafeteria of the college as well for about 9 more hours per week. However, the employees working in the cafeteria get a separate check, since it is managed by another company. Am I allowed to do that or is it considered an off-campus employment? I know other international students who work there, but I don't want to have any problem with IRS or the embassy when I go to renew my visa in my home country. Also, students working in the cafeteria do not pay taxes (I don't know why)...

But you should check regarding the taxes .. In my college, cheques from cafeteria are taxed automatically, before handing over to the employees ... Or in some cases students opt for tax exemption ...

you are right about not criticizing. I am glad they are using this awesome resource. But if you remember, your mandatory student orientation talks about jobs and which are illegal and legal. If only students paid attention.
Atleast thats how I knew what was legal and what wasnt.
