Do I have to write the Final Examinations if I am transferring out of the university.

Hi,

I am going to transfer out of a university after one semester (Fall2015) and I have my exams till 19th of December. I was under the impression that, since I am transferring out i would not need to attend the examinations. When I talked to one of the officials in my university they notified me that there would be some issue with my sevis. Is it true? Else wat other options do I have?
