Admission deferred after F1 visa stamping

Hi, I got admission for MS in Computer Science at UIS for fall 2015 term. I got f1 visa stamped in July 2015. However I could travel due to some personal reasons. Now I have new i20 from same university for spring 2016. My question is about my current visa validity. Do I need go for visa stamping again. Even though I have confirmation from USCBP and US consulate (that I can travel on same visa), I am still confuse about 5 month rule. Does anyone got some information or experience with similar situation?
